Joseph Michael Henson

Joseph Michael Henson went to be with his Lord and Savior after an on and off again battle with cancer on Wednesday January 16, 2019. He was born in Beech Grove, Indiana on September 17, 1952. He was preceded in death by his father and mother Joe and Vonda Henson. Joe is survived by his siblings Tom (Betty) Henson, Bruce (Janine) Henson, Diane Phillips, and Debbie Noel.  His greatest love aside from the Lord and grandkids was being a devoted husband to his wife Florence Henson.  His eldest daughter Heather (Tracey) McIntosh is mother to Gretchen (Josh), Teddy, Celia, Wyatt, and step children Craig (Jessica), Kristen, and great-grandson Hunter. His youngest daughter is Alyssa Ball.  Joe was also a dedicated step-father to Tabatha (Ricky) Briones, Michael (Krystal) Doughty, and Kim (Zach Ruhl) Doughty.  His commitment continued further to his grandchildren Lyndon, Evelyn, Atheena, Harley, MJ, Lewis, Abraham, Faye, and Will.  Joe is now singing At Calvary while at the fishing hole waiting on his Sunshine. We will have a Celebration of Life for Joe on Saturday January 26 at Oak Grove Baptist Church 11216 Oak Grove Church Road, Poland, Indiana, 47868.  Celebration will begin at Noon and a Service will be held at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, we ask for donations to be sent to Oak Grove Church.
