Joseph (Joe) Fletcher Fiedoral, Jr., 95, entered into eternal life on February 5, 2022. Joe was born in Chicago, IL, on September 14, 1926. He was the son of Joseph F. Fiedoral, Sr., and Libuse (Zelinka) Fiedoral. Joe was a Navy veteran in World War II, a graduate of Loyola University, and the John Marshall (now University of Illinois Chicago) School of Law. He was also a Chartered Professional Casualty Underwriter (CPCU). He began his career as adjustor at Kemper Insurance in Chicago. In 1962 Joe and his family moved to Indianapolis where he completed his professional career in 1991 as Vice President of Claims, American States Insurance.
Joe is survived by his wife of 69 years Lyda (Roach) Fiedoral, daughter Debbie (Gary) Sweeney of Cincinnati, daughter Jill (Steve) Abel, of Carmel, five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
A deeply committed family man, Joe was an avid fisherman who greatly enjoyed golfing. Joe and Lyda traveled worldwide and relished many decades vacationing in Bear Lake, MI. Joe was at his best whenever he was with members of his family.
Later this summer there will be a private memorial service in Bear Lake to celebrate Joe’s life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Joe’s memory to The Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org ) or Canine Companions (https://canine.org).
