Joni Lynn Germain

Joni Lynn Germain, 57 of Fishers, passed away at her home Friday, April 29, 2022, surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer.

Joni was born June 21, 1964 in Indianapolis to the late Keith Schaefer and Helen Teague.  She graduated from North Central High School in 1981. In 1986 she married her husband of 36 years Mike Germain, and together they had two children: Sarah and Adam.

Joni was a devout Christian and loving mother and wife. She spent 35 years as a hair stylist and loved her profession and the relationships she developed with her customers over the years. Her laughter, love, and kind heart had a positive effect on everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her friends and family.

Family and friends are invited to gather from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm Wednesday, May 4 at Flanner Buchanan-Carmel, where a service celebrating Joni’s life will be held at 7:00 pm.

Joni is survived by her husband of 36 years, Michael; children, Sarah (husband, Codey) Catt and Adam Germain; siblings, Jeff (wife, Shelby) Schaefer, Shannon (husband, Mike) Higgs, Stacey (husband, Wendell) Phillips, Amanda (husband, Joe) Ezernack and Jennifer Schaefer.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Lisa Schaefer.
