JONCLAIR “JC” ALDEN YOUNG GONCALVES, 40

Jc passed away in Indianapolis, Indiana on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at the age of 40.
The visitation will be held Friday, June 9, 2017 from 4:00pm until 6:00pm at Flanner & Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, with funeral services immediately following at 6:00pm.

Jc was born in Piracicaba, Sao Paolo, Brazil in 1976. He graduated from Harding High School in Marion, Ohio in 1995 where he was first-chair tuba player in the band and proudly participated in the Tri-Rivers Engineering program at Marion Tech to focus on CAD and Electronics education and training. He went on to attend Kettering University and graduated from The Ohio State University with a BSISE degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering in 1997. He was actively involved in the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity, Society of Manufacturing Engineers, and Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers. After graduation he launched his career in sales in the automotive industry in Detroit, Michigan and worked for Hayes Lemmerz and Borg Warner. In 2009 he relocated to Indianapolis, Indiana to work as a Director of Sales at Ryobi Die Casting, Inc. in Shelbyville, Indiana. Jc was a willing mentor always ready to share his knowledge and passion for the automotive industry with high school and college students as needed.
Jc was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan (Go Bucks!). He played tuba and football in high school. He enjoyed college football, cars, music, movies, reading, traveling, and spending time with his family. JC was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan. He was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) as a direct descendant of Mayflower Pilgrim, John Alden.

Jc is survived by his loving family including his son, Joncarlo Natal Goncalves; his wife Carlota “Loty” (Toledo) Goncalves; his grandmothers ,Carmen Ferreira Goncalves (Osasco, Sao Paolo, Brazil) and June Young (Columbus, OH); his father, Antonio N. Goncalves (Piracicaba, Sao Paolo, Brazil); his mother, Randi L. Young (Columbus, OH); his brothers, Alexander R. Mockensturm and Matthew Mockensturm (both Columbus, OH); his aunts, Nancy A. Ratey and Caryl A. Young (both Columbus, OH), Maria Jose Goncalves Biella, Arli Goncalves, Claudia Regina Goncalves, Selma Mello Lima Goncalves, Alexandra Silva Goncalves (all Osasco, Sao Paolo, Brazil); his uncles, Jed Young (Fortaleza, Ceara, Brazil), Aires Goncalves, Airton Goncalves, Claudio Eduardo Goncalves (all Osasco, Sao Paolo, Brazil); cousins, Nicole Young (Fortaleza, Ceara, Brazil), Collin Redding (Phoenix, Arizona), Paloma Lorena, Diego Goncalves Biella, Priscila Goncalves Biella, Joao Ricardo Goncalves, Jose Augusto Goncalves, Phelipe Goncalves Nabarro, Aline Sereda Goncalves, Giovanna Lima Goncalves, Gabriella Lima Goncalves, Leticia Sereda Goncalves, Isabella Silva Goncalves, Giullia Lima Goncalves, Sophie Goncalves Silva, Yasmim Pirolo Nabarro (all Osasco, Sao Paolo, Brazil); his nieces, Maria Yoshiko Inocenta Juravic (Kapaa, Hawaii), Anais Ixtabella Rosamaria Trevino (Chicago, Illinois); and his nephews, Kenzo Walter Manuel Juravic (Kapaa, Hawaii), Sebastian Victor Noe Trevino (Chicago, Illinois); and the rest of his extended family and friends.

Jc is preceded in death by his son, Angel Goncalves; his grandfathers, Clair W. Young and Joao Goncalves; his aunt, Alda Aparecida Goncalves; his uncles, Luiz Goncalves and Sebastiao Goncalves; and his nieces, Annie Trevino and Ava Rose Trevino.
