Jonathan Edward Liszak left us on July 16, 2023. He embraced every moment of his brief 47 years, and never left a room without making a new friend. To those of us who were fortunate enough to know him, he was loyal, generous, intelligent, and unreasonably funny. His life journey passed through many cities, schools and occupations, starting in Indianapolis on June 7, 1976. He grew up in Carmel, Indiana and lived in Indianapolis with his loving wife and dog at the time of his passing.
Prior to being a real estate acquisitions professional, Jon was a talented writer and musician who loved playing with Boise-based band Exit 51.
Jon was reunited with his daughter Shelby, beloved boxer Frankie, grandparents, and a close childhood friend, Johny Trainor who had preceded him in passing. We can smile knowing they were there to greet him.
He is survived by so many who loved him including his parents, Alan and Carole Liszak; his wife, Keela; their boxer, Tiggy; his sister, Jennifer Funkhouser; two nieces, Bailey Shelton and Abigail Funkhouser; brother-in-law, Ryan Gootee; his nephew, Tyler Gootee; the best group of friends a man could hope to have; two Fantasy Football leagues; and his former band mates.
