Jon Patrick Nowlin passed away peacefully surrounded by his family in Indianapolis, Indiana.  Jon was 49 years old.  Jon was born in Anderson, Indiana to Michael and Mary Ann (Ganger) Nowlin.  Jon was intelligent, funny, courageous and an inspiration to everyone he met.  Jon was a fighter and lived his life on his own terms.  He was a devoted father, and a loving son, uncle and friend.  He was a man grounded in his faith and was a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus at St. Monica Catholic Church.  He loved to work and was a successful Casualty Claims Manager up until his health prevented him from doing what he loved.  He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing canoeing and camping.  His life will forever be cherished in the lives of his parents; Michael and Mary Ann Nowlin, brother, Matthew (Merle) Nowlin, nieces, Kate and Meghan Nowlin, nephew Liam Nowlin, his daughter, Hannah Nowlin, his aunt, Penny (Kevin) Gara, his aunts, Nancy (Mark ) Hooker and Helen Ganger and uncle, Gil Ganger and a host of cousins and friends.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to either the Holy Family Shelter in Indianapolis or to the Animal Protection League in Anderson, Indiana.  Online condolences and a video tribute to honor Jon may be viewing at www.flannerbuchanan.com  Flanner Buchanan-Washington Park North are handling arrangements.
