Johnny Lee Scott Sr., 89, of Indianapolis, passed away December 2nd, 2020. He was born June 1st, 1931, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to parents The Late Samuel and Hazel (Mitchell) Scott.
John proudly served his country in the United State’s Army from June 1951, until he was honorably discharged in May 1954. He served in the Korean War and achieved the rank of Corporal.
John worked as a truck driver for many years. He then worked as a mechanic for Shell, and retired after 30 years.
On June 2nd, 1953, John married the love of his life, Anna Jean Johnson in Rossville, Georgia. They shared 67 wonderful years together and traveled all over the world. Anna Jean passed away August 10th, 2020.
John was a loving, hardworking gentleman. He and his wife loved traveling, spending many vacations at Dollywood, on tropical islands, or aboard cruise ships. John enjoyed bowling, and he adored his family and grandchildren. He and Anna Jean were proud grandparents, spending as much time as possible with them.
John is survived by his son Johnny Scott Jr., daughter Patricia Le`Ann Worman (James); grandchildren James W. Jr (Christina), Ashley Nicole Franklin (Tj); great-grandchildren Emmalynn Franklin, Daylin Thomas Worman-Choate; brother Jerry Scott; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Anna Jean, son Samuel Clifford Scott, and brother William “Bill” Scott.
