Johnnie Lee Fugate

Johnnie Lee Fugate, 53, of Indianapolis passed away February 2, 2021. He was born in Indianapolis. IN on October 10, 1967 to the late Adam and Annie Fugate.

After graduating from Buckhorn High School in Hazard, KY,  he went on to receive an associate’s degree from Ivy Tech. He dedicated 21 years of his career to the company 3M as a lead maintenance technician. He worked to maintain machines making earplugs.  In 2013 he met Shawn Norris and they wed soon after in 2014. He loved his family and enjoyed music, cooking and golfing.

He is survived by his loving wife, Shawn Fugate; beloved children, Andrea Mitchell (Kris), Angela Decker (Steve), and Zach Mink (Courtney); 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 12, 2021 from 11AM-2PM with services to begin at 2PM at Flanner Buchanan – Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington St. Indianapolis, IN 46229.  Guests are required to wear a mask.
