Johnnie D. Cannon peacefully passed away on the morning of July 29th, 2019 in her home and surrounded by family.
She is survived by her daughters Paige McCarty and Patrece Murdoch (Jason); her grandchildren R. Matthew McCarty, Ashlee Fort (Aaron), Christopher McCarty (Renee), Shelby Rojas, Abigail McCarty, Nathaniel Murdoch, Keaton Murdoch, and Madeline Murdoch; and great-grandchildren Juliette and Aurora McCarty, Eden Fort, and Carson McCarty. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Daniels and Verda Daniels; sisters Diana Daniels, and Lois Countiss; niece Tamara Thompson; and son-in-law Robert McCarty.
For over 30 years, Johnnie worked as an insurance agent for American Family. She treasured her relationships with her clients, agency, and partners in the community, and was proud of the business that she built and the life she was able to provide for her family through this. Johnnie was always a busy lady but never failed to find time to play games with her kids and grandkids or spend time with her BSF Bible Study Group. Attending First Baptist Church of Cumberland, Post Road Christian Church, and later in life, Brookville Road Community Church, she was a woman of great faith and love for the Lord. This was reflected in her unfailing love and loyalty to all of her family and friends—this is her legacy. She is profoundly loved and will be greatly missed.
