John Richard Martin

John Richard Martin, 89, Indianapolis, went home to be with his Lord April 14, 2018. He was a lifelong member of St. Andrew Catholic Church and retired from Borden Milk Company and most recently worked at Sullivan Hardware. John was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond W. and Mary Alice Martin, and daughter, Maryanne Dezelan. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Margaret M. Laker Martin, children, Michael (Joan) Martin, Kathleen Ansty, Thomas (Colleen) Martin, Elizabeth (Ronnie) Collins, Jean (Brian) Garriott, son-in-law, Ronald Dezelan, fourteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Augustine Home for the Aged. Visitation will be held Sunday April 29th from 4-7pm at St. Augustine Home for the Aged, 2345 W 86th St. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held there on Monday April 30th, with visitation beginning one hour prior.
