John R. Rafferty Jr.

John Richard Rafferty, Jr., 75, passed away at his home on December 29, 2022.

He was born in Lexington, Kentucky on June 12, 1947, to John and Elizabeth Rafferty.

John attended Trinity College and met the love of his life, Sharon Krueger. They were married on December 15, 1979.

During his career, John worked as a Librarian.  He started his career working as a Library Student Aide at IUPUI (Indianapolis).  Following graduation, he worked as a Librarian for Crossroads Bible College in Indianapolis.  Most recently, he was a Volunteer Librarian at the Museum of 20^th Century Warfare in Indianapolis.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 43 years, Sharon Raffery; and his brother, Michael Rafferty.

Funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Friday, January 6, 2023 at Flanner Buchanan – Memorial Park, 9350 East Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46229. A visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. until time of service.

Burial will take place in Richmond Cemetery, Richmond, Kentucky, at Noon on Saturday, January 7, 2023.
