John O. Johns

Born on December 14, 1927, John was the 4th child of Annabelle and John Oren Johns and was raised in Washington County, Indiana. He attended Salem High School and Butler University and was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. After 35 years of service, he retired as a supervisor from Western Electric. A devoted husband and father, John was a long time member of Oaklandon (now Outlook) Christian Church. He passed from this life on October 28, 2017.

John is survived by his wife of 63 years, Barbara; sons, John and Brian; granddaughter, Kathy and husband, Mike; great granddaughter Cecily; sister, Garnelle; and brother, Kenneth (Duke). John’s other siblings were his sisters, Margaret and Magel; and brother, James who are deceased.

There will be no visitation, services will be private.
