John E. Hof

John E. Hof, 85 of Carmel, went home to be with his Lord Sunday, July 9, 2017. John was born March 3, 1932 in Boscobel, WI to the late Sam and Agnes Hof. He was a 1955 graduate of Miami University.

John worked for the Stanley/Bostitch Company selling tools and building supplies until his retirement in 1994. He was a member of King of Glory Lutheran Church and Toastmasters International. After retirement, John volunteered visiting residents in local senior facilities.

Family and friends are invited to gather from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Friday, July 14 at Flanner and Buchanan-Carmel. A private family funeral will follow.

John is survived by his wife of 60 years, Pat “Peep”; children, Nancy A. (husband, Tom) Jacobson, Jim M. (wife, Cindy) Hof and Susan M. (husband, Michael) Lotz; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brother, Jim Hof. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Hof and granddaughter, Mari Schaeffer.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
