John A. Zuber

August 6, 1938 — May 4, 2016

Age 77, of Indianapolis, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2016. John was
born in Evansville, IN on August 6, 1938to the late Norman and Ruth (Langford) Zuber. He served his country honorably in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
John met the love of his life, Carol Russell, while attending Butler University, and the two were married on August 21, 1961. John went on to become a Professional Broadcast
Engineer, going to work for Channel 13, from where he retired after 52 years. John was a member of Castleton United Methodist Church; the Society of Broadcast
Engineers; a 32nd Degree Mason and member of the Mystic Circle Masonic Lodge; Lawrence Order of the Eastern Star, previously holding two offices; the Scottish Rite; and the American Legion Post 153. He was a hard worker, not only working 52 years at Channel 13, but also owning his own company, Video Services Company, and working
part-time over the years for Golden Rule and DVC. He was a dedicated family man. He enjoyed spending time with his beloved family and friends whether it be while
boating on Morse or Monroe Reservoirs or simply spending time together.

John is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carol Zuber; children: Joseph "Joe" Zuber (Amy), Christine Marie Zuber, and Jerald "Jerry" Zuber (Melissa); 9 grandchildren;
1 great-grandchild; brother, Tom Zuber (Lynda); sister, Nancy Daub (Edward); aunt, Verna Mae Huey; and several extended family and friends. John was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Ruth and two sons, Jeff Zuber and James Zuber.

Friends may call from 11am until 1pm on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street, where his funeral will
immediately follow at 1pm. Burial with military honors will follow in Washington Park East Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to share online condolences.
