Joellen L. Petrycki

JoEllen L. Petrycki, 91, of Martinsville, passed away on May 2, 2017.

JoEllen was born August 21, 1925 in Indianapolis to the late Joseph Wayne and Nellie Irene Russell, graduated from Warren Central High School, and was retired from Perry Township Schools after 30 years in food service. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a member of Tallwood Chapel, sewed all her life, enjoyed quilting, crocheting, knitting, and collecting dolls but above all she loved her family.
She is survived by her children, Barbara Harrington, Parke (Jane) Austin, Carla (Kenny) Schnurpel, and Brian (Cher) Austin; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 1 great great-grandchild.
JoEllen is proceeded in death by her first husband Robert E. Austin (1972) and her second husband Nick Petrycki (1992). She is also proceeded in death by her granddaughter, Elizabeth Smith (1997).
A funeral service will take place 2:00pm on Saturday, May 6th, 2017 at Flanner and Buchanan- Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN, with visitation from 12:00-2:00pm. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
