Joel William Kincy was born Oct 7, 1933 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was one of four children born to the late John T. Kincy and the late Louise Reese Kincy. In his youth he attended Indianapolis Public School 23 and Crispus Attucks High School.
Joel served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. After his discharge from the military Joel was employed at International Harvester where he retired after 25 years. During his free time he enjoyed watching cowboy movies, playing cards with friends, working in his yard and enjoying the company of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Joel departed this life on Saturday March 27, 2021 at Decatur Township Center Nursing Home at the age of 87. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother John Kincy, sisters Aline Modlin and Anna Daniels, his daughter Charlotte Whitfield and his former wife Laura Ann Kincy.
Joel is survived by his loving wife Larvetta Joann Kincy; 4 sons, Mark Kincy (Katie), Eric Kincy, Kenneth Kincy (Pamela), Derik Kincy (Lori); 1 daughter, Erica Kincy; grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.
