Joel Robinson Anderson

Joel Robinson Anderson, beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away on June 18th, 2022. He was the husband of Barbara (Adkins) Anderson and the father of 5 children.
Born June 17, 1960, in Columbus, Ohio, he was the son of the late William Hammond Anderson and Mary (Johnson) Anderson. Joel graduated from University of Cincinnati with a master’s degree and worked 8 years at General Electric Aircraft Engines in Evendale Ohio and the remainder of his life at Rolls-Royce Corp. in Indianapolis as a mechanical engineer. Joel, enjoyed fishing, football, basketball and baseball, but he especially loved coaching little league sports. His kindness, patience, and faith-filled life were examples to all of us.
In addition to Barbara, his wife of 34 years, he is survived by his children, Donald Anderson, Barbara Dawn Thompson (Walter), Angel Thomas (Darren), Tracy “Joey” Anderson, and Joshua Anderson; sisters, Maria Lee (Carl) and Carla Anderson; brother, William Anderson; 16 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and a host of loving family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 24, 2022, from 6-8pm at Flanner Buchanan-Washington Park North 2706 Kessler Blvd West Drive. A Mass of Christian burial will be on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at 9:30am at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church 3354 W.30th Street. Burial will take place at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery.
