Joel “Joe” Curtis Lannom
70, of Indianapolis, passed away January 1, 2020. He was born on January 6, 1949 in Fort Wayne, Indiana as the son of Glenn and Marcile Lannom.
After graduating high school, Joe went on to enlist into the United States Army. Where he served in Vietnam during the Vietnam War. After returning from the war, Joe eventually went on to become a welder and continued to do so until he retired in 2017. Joe enjoyed fishing and hunting, movies, and the casino. He will be loved and missed by all who knew him.
Joe is survived by his wife of 45 years, Nancy Lannom; daughter, Heidi (Ronnie Watson) Lannom; son, Scott Lannom; grandson, Dean Watson; granddaughter, Payton Lannom; siblings; Toby, Jan, Judy, Tammy; brother-in-laws, Dave, Randy; sister-in-law, Pam; nieces, Maria, Katie; and great nephew, Hayden.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Jeff Lannom, Jerry Lannom; mother-in-law, Patty Brinegar; father-in-law, Jack Brinegar.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2020, from 11-1pm at Flanner Buchanan – Memorial Park. There will be a memorial service following at 1pm also at the funeral home.
