Joanne Marie Dankert

Joanne Marie Dankert, of Indianapolis, passed away on June 11, 2023. Joanne was born on November 14,1959, Indianapolis, IN, to the late James E. And Ruth N. Dankert. She attended John Strange Elementary, Eastwood Junior High and Noblesville High schools. She was also a Purdue Boilermaker like her father and a Butler Bulldog.

Joanne volunteered her time at Eiteljorg Museum and at Global Gifts. She enjoyed gardening, being especially talented with orchids and jade plants, her cats and dogs, horseback riding, and travel, especially to exotic locales, including Bhutan, the Galápagos Islands, Iceland, Greenland, Kenya, even stayed at the Ice Hotel at Svalbard, Norway and lastly, Paris.

She is survived by her sister, Shari Aldous (Charles), her brother, Gary Dankert (Gina), cousins, nieces, nephews and her beloved Turkish Angora cat Beau. She was predeceased by her parents, her fiancé, Steve Mohr and her infant brother David.
