Joann Mcdowell

JoAnn McDowell of Martinsville, Indiana, died February 5, 2017 surrounded by her loving family.

JoAnn was born May 18, 1934 in Indianapolis to Joseph Schanke and Grace Lucas. She was a former member of the Missionary Free Christian Church. She will be remembered as a Christian woman who dedicated her life to her family.

JoAnn is survived by her children Sandy (Mike) Ashley, Ruth Powers, and Dan Reynolds; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and brother Jack Lucas. She was preceded in death by her husband Mac McDowell, children Debra S. Buchanan and Tom Reynolds; her parents; and her brothers Richard and Larry McMillan.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, February 9, 2017 at 2 PM with visitation 11 AM until the time of service at Flanner and Buchanan – Memorial Park, 9350 E. Washington St, Indianapolis. Entombment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
