Joann “Jody” McKenzie Newman

83, of Fishers, IN, passed away on December 13, 2017.  Jody was born in Detroit, MI and moved to Indianapolis in 1948 after her mother’s death.  She went to Tech H. S. where she met her husband, John.  She graduated cum laude from Ohio State University and was an elementary teacher for many years.

She is survived by her husband, John; children, Paul (Chris) Newman-Jacobs, Rick (Linda) Newman, Rob (Terry) Newman, Joyce Johnson and Tom (Stacy) Newman and grandchildren, Hilary, Hannah, Nicole, Samantha, Erica, Kathleen, Natalie, Lilia, Clara and Ian.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 11 am at Flanner Buchanan-Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite).  Memorial gifts to the Food Pantry at Fishers United Methodist Church.
