Joan Lee Klise Everly, 90, of Indianapolis passed away on December 4, 2022, in Carmel, IN. She was born in Indianapolis on November 6, 1932, to Frank and Viola Buckley. Joan was a graduate of Warren Central High School and attended Florida State University. She worked in accounting for the Indianapolis Star and retired in 1990. Joan was a member of the Eastern Star lodge #364 and a former member of Cross of Grace Lutheran Church in New Palestine. Joan had a fun personality and one-of-a-kind sense of humor. She always enjoyed gatherings with her friends and family. Joan liked watching sports, especially the FSU Seminoles. She also enjoyed history, reading, fishing, gardening and traveling. Joan is survived by her daughter, Ronda (Dave) Grannan and her grandchildren, Sara (Brett) Rager, Kristin (Brian) Wright, John (Renee) Siminiski and Mike (Rose) Grannan. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren, Ashlyn, Jack, Evan, Wilkes, Cole, Jerrick, Wren and Beau. Joan was preceded in death by her first husband Robert Klise. They were high school sweethearts and were married fifty-four years. Joan later married Clarence “Blaine” Everly and they enjoyed twelve years of marriage until his passing. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Karin Klise Siminski. Private family services will be held for Joan with Pastor Mark Havel officiating. Joan will be laid to rest in Memorial Park Cemetery. Joan loved animals and had many pets in her life. If you choose to make a donation a suggestion is to the Hamilton County Humane Society.
