Joan (Heath) Mccutcheon

Joan (Heath) McCutcheon, 84, of North Vernon, Indiana passed away on December 12, 2022. She was born in Rushville, Indiana to her late parents Franklin E. Heath Sr. and Opal M. (Aldridge) Heath on August 12, 1938. Joan was a dedicated “Jack of All Trades” for Walmart, retiring in 2005. She loved the Christmas season, and always had her house beautifully decorated. In earlier years, Joan enjoyed sewing baby blankets. She was very talented and shared her creations with many friends and family members.  Joan was the Matriarch of the 5 generations in the family. She was an amazing mother, a loving grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother. Joan was undoubtedly the glue that held everyone together. She will be missed sorely by all the lives she has touched.

Joan is survived by her children, Joan McCollum, Nancy Crawford, and Robert McCutcheon; brother, Franklin L. Heath Jr.; and many adored grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded by her parents; her son, baby boy Kersey; her daughter, Carolyne Kersey; 2 sisters; and 1 brother.

A visitation will be held on Monday, December 19, 2022, from 12:30-2:30PM, a funeral service will follow a, beginning at 2:30PM. All will be held at Flanner Buchanan—Washington Park East, 10722 East Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46229. Joan will be laid to rest in Washington Park East Cemetery.
