Joan E. Cox (Mccoy) Adams

Joan E. Cox (McCoy) Adams, age 73, of Fishers, IN passed away April 9, 2018. Joan was born in Mason City, Iowa on December 3, 1944 to her parents, Lester and Doyne Parrett Cox. During her career, Joan worked as a Real Estate Agent for many years. She was very passionate about and dedicated to the Democratic Party; she loved animals and playing Bridge with her friends.

Joan married Robert J. Adams, whom she was widowed by during the Vietnam War. She later wed her second husband, Steven L. McCoy.

Joan was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert J. Adams and her parents, Lester and Doyne Cox. She is survived by her loving daughters, Erin McCoy, Amanda Johnson, and Caroline Pestka (Steve); step-son, Brian McCoy (Jennifer); grandchildren: Samuel, Phoebe and Hilary Johnson and Sabina, Ashi, Beatrice, Eleanor and Hannah Pestka; sisters, Judith Long and Janice Buddenbaum; many nieces, great nieces and nephews, extended family and friends; as well as her beloved dog, Bernie.

Family and friends are invited to an open house in celebration of Joan’s life from 1pm until 4pm on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at 12912 Merlot Lane, Fishers, IN 46037.
