Joan Ann Rohl, 82, of Indianapolis, IN passed away January 8, 2022. She was born July 4, 1939 in Olyphant, Pennsylvania to the late William and Mary (Lazar) Pavlisko. Joan retired as an Administrative Assistant at Indiana University in 2005. She was a member of the Women of the Moose and Hope Baptist Church, where she enjoyed Bible studies. She also enjoyed traveling, painting, sewing, helping others and her beloved dog, Queen. Joan was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous and was proudly sober for 43 years. She was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her. Joan is survived by her children, Mark (Sandra) Krzan, Cheryl (Bob) Thomas, stepdaughter, Lisa Albright, grandchildren, Nicole Barry, Michael Thomas, Katelynn Thomas, step grandchildren, Taylor Jaynes, Connor Jaynes, Chandler Jaynes, and great grandchildren, Baya Barry, Colton Barry. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Rohl, her sister, Delores Van Fleet and her brother, Joseph Pavlisko. Services will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Flanner Buchanan – Decatur Township with visitation there from 10:00 am until the service. She will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at the K of P Cemetery in Lizton, IN. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial gifts to Alcoholics Anonymous.
