Jo Ann Marion, 82 of Indianapolis died April 10, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.
Jo Ann was born in White County, to Dorothy C. and Charles R. Wall. She was the oldest of eight siblings. She met John Marion while working at Western Electric. A simple invitation to coffee sparked a marriage that spanned more than six decades. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and much more. Jody took joy in giving gifts to the ones she loved, was an avid reader, certified fashionista, strong in her Faith in God, a remarkable Matriarch to four generations, and a proud survivor of Breast Cancer. She raised six children while working for Warren Township Schools. Jo Ann was also proud of working for Hoosier Equipment Brokers, Inc. where she refurbished phones and was an expert packer for 22 years. She will be remembered for her incredible heart and welcoming nature. Jo Ann was a powerhouse of love. There was nothing more confirming than a “Nana Jo” hug and being told, “You’re special, special”. She was affectionately known as everyone’s Mom, Nana, Jody, and many more.
Jo Ann is survived by her beloved husband of over 61 years, John J. Marion; children John R. Marion (Susan L.), Pamela J. Martin, Cynthia M. Harbison (Jeff), Diana S. Marion, and Patricia H.
