Jo Angela Donnelly

Jo Angela Donnelly, loving mother and grandmother passed away on March 13, 2022 at the age of 79 in Indianapolis, IN.

She was born November 14, 1942 in Cumberland, Kentucky to the late Harold “Cleo” and Lilly Rae Greene.

Angie was born in Kentucky but moved to Indianapolis after her father got out of serving in WWII.  She attended Arsenal Tech High School and was very involved in various clubs. She went to Indiana University after and received a Bachelor’s degree. While at college, she met and married Roger Donnelly and moved to Kansas City where she worked at the Lee Company.  There they had a child and she eventually moved back to Indianapolis to be closer to her parents.  While in Indy she became a legal secretary and continued that for twenty years.While working she was also the caregiver to her mother who lived to be 101. She served on her church’s welcoming committee baking cookies, and she loved sending cards to her friends and receiving them in return.  She loved to journal and do daily devotionals. Years later she moved in with her son, daughter-in-law and grandson, where they got to enjoy a very special and sweet time together. She loved the Lord Jesus Christ more than anything and was ready to go home to Him.

She is survived by her son Jeff Donnelly and daughter-in-law Joyce; and grandson Wyatt.

She was preceded in death by her parents Cleo and Lilly Greene.

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 17 from 3-4:30 PM.  A Funeral Service will begin at 4:30 PM in Flanner Buchanan – Geist, 7855 Cork Road, Indianapolis. Graveside Services will be held Friday, March 18 at 10 AM in Lincoln Memory Gardens, Whitestown, IN.
