Jimmie L. Bishop 

86, of Indianapolis, passed away on December 4, 2017. Jim was born on January 16, 1931 to the late Troy and Irene Bishop in Indianapolis. He honorably served his country in the United State Army during the Korean War, and later retired from General Motors (Allison’s) after 36 years. Jim enjoyed the outdoors, his family, and telling stories.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Carol S. Bishop; son, Steven Bishop (Lori); 5 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, David Bishop.

Friends and family are invited to gather from 12:00-2:00pm on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Flanner Buchanan- Washington Park East, with a funeral service to follow at 2:00pm. He will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery.
