Jill A. Hobaugh

Jill Ann Hobaugh, 67, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 17, 2025. She was born on June 1, 1957, in Indianapolis, Indiana, and was lovingly adopted by her parents, Jack and Eileen Cameron. Jill shared a deep, enduring bond with her parents, who played a significant role in her life. 

 Jill was a proud graduate of North Central High School and earned her Associate’s degree in Accounting from Ivy Tech. Her career began as an Accounting Supervisor at Adesa Corporation, but her true calling came when she transitioned to an Administrative Assistant role at Warren Central High School, where she worked for 10 years and touched the lives of many students.

 Beyond her professional career, Jill was dedicated to supporting young people through her role as troop leader for her granddaughters’ Girl Scout troop #2578. She devoted over 10 years to leading the troop, also serving as the treasurer for the council and co-leading the cookie sales in her region. 

 In her spare time, Jill enjoyed gardening and frequently traveled with her husband, Kenneth, to the beach, creating cherished memories together. 

Jill is survived by her beloved husband of 16 years, Kenneth Hobaugh; her children, Jeryn (Joni Shelton) Crouch, Alice (Angel) Mendez, and Robert (Kim) Hobaugh; her grandchildren, Jaden Crouch and Jordyn Crouch, along with nine others; and 20 great-grandchildren.

 She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Eileen (Byrum) Cameron, and her brother, James Cameron. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Monday, February 24, 2025, at Flanner Buchanan Oaklawn Memorial Gardens – Conner Suite (9700 Allisonville Rd., Indianapolis, IN). The funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM, and burial will take place at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
