Jessica Marie Steckler

Jessica Marie Steckler, 37, of Speedway Indiana, passed away on December 1, 2023. She was born on May 23, 1986, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Bruce and Lisa Steckler. She was a beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, niece, and cousin.

She was proceeded in death by her mother Lisa Steckler, her uncle Derek Fritch, and 4 grandparents, Elwood and Carol Steckler, and Gene and Betty Fritch.

She was survived by her father Bruce Steckler, her brother Jacob (Caitlyn) Steckler, she had three nieces, Lucy, Lexie, and Amelia, her uncle Bryan (Trinda) Steckler, her Aunt Donna (Rich) Wilson, and multiple cousins.

Although she was diagnosed with Spina Bifida at birth, she surpassed all doctors’ expectations. In her youth she enjoyed horseback riding, playing basketball, and bowling. Later in life she completed multiple 5ks. She was a 2004 graduate of Speedway High School, and a 2008 graduate of Ivy Tech Community College, where she obtained an associate degree in business administration. After graduating college Jessica worked from home helping run the family business of selling leather craft items. When she wasn’t working you would have found her starting on her newest puzzle and cheering on her nieces at their cheer competitions. She was also an avid fan and loved watching and supporting the Indiana Pacers and Indianapolis Colts.

Jessica was brave, selfless, and taught us all a lesson in making the most of our abilities. She loved unconditionally and will be forever missed by her loving family and friends.
