Jesse Wilson Lowe

Jesse Wilson Lowe, 79 of Avon, Indiana passed away January 2, 2022. He was born February 8, 1942 in Tiptonville, Tennessee to the late Charlie and Mabel (Pugh) Lowe. His family moved to Indiana a few years after he was born and he also spent time in New Mexico, which was like a second home to him. He was a mechanic for Allison’s Transmission/ General Motors for 22 years prior to his retirement. Jesse was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Indianapolis Valley of the Scottish Rite for over 50 years. He enjoyed watching football and NASCAR on TV and attending auctions to visit with his friends. Jesse belonged to a Euchre Club that the members for over 40 years joined together to play. His collecting passions were Western Americana and Coca Cola memorabilia. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Judith K. “Judy” (Durham) Lowe, children, Kandi, Chris, Anne (Greg), Richard, 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and his brother, Alton. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his sister, Patty and brothers, Charlie, and John. Service will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022, 1:00pm at Flanner Buchanan Floral Park with visitation there from 11:00am-1:00pm. He will be laid to rest at Floral Park Cemetery.
