Jerry Taylor passed away Saturday, November 19, 2022, after a five-year battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Druscilla (Clayton) Taylor, of 61 years, his daughter, Angela (Lyle) (Taylor) Bates, and his son Michael (Laura) Taylor, five grandchildren – Nathan (Suya), Megan, Danielle, Mikayla, and Gretchen, and two great grandchildren – Juzhang and Robert. He is also survived by two sisters, Frances (Bill) Flint and Sylvia (Arnold) Waters, and a brother Leland Taylor. He was preceded in death by his parents Balam and Anna (Piercey) Taylor. Jerry was born October 25, 1939, in Albany, Kentucky, moving to Greensburg, Indiana, 1954, and then to Indianapolis in 1960. He was an industrial engineer by trade working at Ford Motor Company and Link Belt, among others. He was a member of North Liberty Christian Church where he served as a Deacon for the congregation for many years. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society in memory of Jerry.
