Jerry L. Land, 81 of Indianapolis, IN passed away December 15, 2020. He was born May 21, 1939 to the late Hartford M. Land and Florence Mae (Lane) Land Coffman in Casey Co., Kentucky. Jerry was a Mail Clerk for the United States Postal Service for 32 years retiring in 1998. He also was the pastor of General Assembly Church of the Firstborn of Indianapolis, IN since 1969. Jerry loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He also loved his Lord and Savior and dedicated many hours studying and teaching from the word of God desiring everyone who he met to know His plan to live life eternally. Jerry was an avid reader and in later years enjoyed woodworking. He was loved by many and will be truly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving children, Jerry L. “Buddy” (Cindy Kay) Land, Cea Ann (Danny Joe) Alexander, Lisa (Larry) Couch, nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Besides his parents he was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Clifton Coffman, who raised him, and he always considered his father, his wife of 56 years Martha M. (Bleier) Land, his sister, Wanda Trammell, his brother, Ambrose Land, stepsister, Rose Mosier, and stepbrothers, Jimmy Coffman, Gary Coffman and half brother, Carl Reid. Services and Visitation will be Private at the request of the family. Jerry will be laid to rest at Floral Park Cemetery.
