Jerry Bonebrake

Jerry Bonebrake, 64, of Indianapolis, left this world too soon on June 25^th, 2023. He was born in Indianapolis August 24^th, 1958, to parents Gerald and Peggy (Dicken) Bonebrake.

Jerry grew up in Indy and graduated from John Marshall High School in 1977.

He worked in construction for several years, and was currently employed at Allegion, where he had worked for 15 years.

Jerry was a hardworking, loving gentle, man. He was an avid sports fanatic, able to tell you countless sports statistics. He loved watching the Colts, Pacers, Reds, Rams, and Cubs, at the stadiums or on TV. Jerry loved spending time with his family, and treated his friends like family, too. His warm charm made him fun to be around, and he was never afraid to tell you “I love you”.

He was a devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Jerry is survived by his father Gerald Bonebrake; siblings Robin (Greg) Swingle, Brenda Shaw, and Dennis Bonebrake; nieces Stacey (Yancy), Jaime (Nick), Peggy (Zach), Amanda, and Shawnda (Josh); nephew Trent Morgan; great nieces Brooke (Hayden), Emma, Georgia, and Breanna; great nephews Joseph, Ryne, Jeremiah, and Grayson; great-great niece Penelope, and great-great nephew Liam; and his canine companion Shelby.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Bonebrake; maternal grandparents Perry Dicken, Dorothy Meyers and step grandfather Cecil Meyers; and paternal grandparents George Bonebrake, Jane Bonebrake, and Step grandmother Ada Bonebrake.

Jerry’s visitation will be Thursday, June 29^th, at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East, from 11-2pm. His funeral service will begin at 2pm.
