Honor, Celebration, and Blessings – Life of Dr. Jennifer Richardson
October 25, 1953 - March 9, 2025
We honor the life of Dr. Jennifer (Jenny) Richardson, who passed away softly into the night, Sunday evening, March 9, 2025, in Avon, Indiana after a long health struggle. Her grace and demeanor during that struggle were examples to all. In her life before her passing, the person that was Dr. Jennifer cared for people and helped them in many different ways. Whether volunteering at a Christian school (Indianapolis Christian Schools), supporting families with residence needs during loved ones’ away-from-home hospital stays (Ronald McDonald House), or learning more and more and helping others in natural health, information technology, management, and human resources, Dr. Jennifer focused on understanding the situation and taking appropriate action.
In particular, Dr. Jennifer supported her curious nature by achieving recognition as a Certified Natural Health Practitioner (CNHP) and Doctor of Naturopathy (ND). Her Certified Natural Health Practitioner (CNHP) designation helped her serve others by coaching them in natural nutrition, body systems and structure, and nervous system function. Dr. Jennifer helped clients achieve better health outcomes as evidenced by the comment that “. . . you have been a huge blessing to me already in the few weeks we have been together. . . .” Building on the foundation of her CNHP designation, her Doctor of Naturopathy designation added additional skill areas in the practice areas of Natural Health for determining the best natural health options and modalities for a particular client.
Extending her reach, Dr. Jennifer completed academic degrees in Computer Information Technology, Business Information Systems, and Management, and a Doctorate (PhD) in Business Administration with Specialization in Human Resources Management. As a lifelong learner, Dr. Jennifer further integrated concepts from professional certificate programs in Human Services and Religious Studies into her work with others. Combining her educational pursuits and caring for others in whatever field or endeavor in which Dr. Richardson found herself, she helped others.
Such love was characteristic of Dr. Jennifer Richardson in her being a lifelong learner, helper, and coach. She will be missed. The loss to her family is immeasurable. Her love knew no bounds. Her husband of 50 years, Paul, daughter, Anicia, son, Jayseph (Jay), sister, Janet, and other family members attended a private graveside service at Old Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis, Indiana on March 17, 2025, St. Patrick’s Day, a day that Dr. Jennifer (Jenny) Richardson loved and smiled about. On her behalf, the family shares the following Irish blessing with you who read this brief message of honor and celebration about her presence in and blessing of our lives.
May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face.
May the rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of His hand.
Psalm 23 - King James Version
23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
