September 12, 1958 — December 18, 2021

Indianapolis, IN

Jeffrey Ronald Vargo, 63 of Indianapolis, unexpectedly passed away on December 18, 2021.

He graduated from Brebeuf High School (1976) and from Indiana University (1981) with a BS in Economics.  Jeff spent his entire career in commercial roofing for construction planning and was most recently employed as a Commercial Estimator with Cochran Exteriors.  His analytical mind allowed him to excel in his career, and Jeff was often entrusted with large projects such as Market Square Arena, The Indianapolis Zoo, and numerous projects around the Midwest.

Jeff was a self-taught photographer with professional-level skills.   He took pride in capturing candid moments from special occasions and touched many lives with his ability to capture ‘just the right shot’.   Jeff also enjoyed wildlife/nature photography and was extremely talented.  He loved to water ski, slalom ski and knee board with his friend Scott on Geist Reservoir.  Jeff was constantly working on home projects and everything was always completed with precision.

He is survived by his wife, Felice; his son, Matthew; his mother, Mary; and his siblings, Chris (Sharon), Kathy (Bill), LuAnn, Greg (Kas), Mary Jeanne (Tim), Terry (Brian), Tony, Mike (Diane) and Angela (Joe).  Jeff is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; along with goddaughter, Carolyn Tripp.

Services for Jeff will be held on Monday, February 7, 2022 at the Indianapolis Yacht Club at 1pm with a reception to follow until 3pm.    The family requests that masks be worn by all guests during this time.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Philharmonic Orchestra of Indianapolis (where Matthew is a cellist), The ARC of Indiana or Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana.
