Jeffery Donald was born on November 12, 1954 to the union of James L. and Mary Helen Donald. He was the only brother to three sisters. Jeffery attended grades K-12 in Marion, Indiana. He attended college, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Forensics from Indiana University of Bloomington, Indiana in 1977. Jeffery also obtained a degree in Radiology from IUPUI.
In 1982, Jeffery and Kersondras Newton were joined in holy matrimony. From this union, their son, Tyler Newton Donald was born in 1983. In 2011, Tyler blessed is parents with their only grandchild, Aliyah Donald. Lili was the light of her Granddaddy’s life…..
Jeff had several hobbies: His most favorite time was spent building and flying model helicopters and airplanes. Any spare time he had was spent in his garage, door up while crafting his next flying machine. Jeff enjoyed spending time with his flying buddies and traveling to air shows. Recently, he was hit with the drone syndrome and just had started researching it’s capabilities.
Jeff was very opinionated, but passionate about what he believed. He was always eager to engage and debate religious and political conversations. However, if ever called upon to help out with family or friends, Jeff was always dependable.
Jeff was employed as an educator at Ivy Tech, teaching medical terminology. Around 2008, Jeff was diagnosed with prostate cancer, then lymphoma. He endured an arduous battle, finally succumbing to health related problems on June 6th, 2017.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Kersondras, his son, Tyler, granddaughter, Aliyah (LiLi), his mother, Mary Helen Donald and two sisters, Ruby (Ernest ‘Butch’) Simpson, Barbara Donald (Polly), and a loving family of in-laws, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
