Jeffery "Jj" Joseph Alan Smith

Jeffery Joseph Alan Smith, affectionately known as “JJ”, 7 years young, went to heaven on January 15, 2023. He was born to parents, Kyle Smith and Tonya Goudie, on May 28, 2015. Throughout JJ’s life, he overcame many challenges. Despite everything, JJ remained a bubbly, happy, spunky, and ornery little guy. His smile lit up every room that he was in. JJ loved looking at bright lights and absolutely loved music—especially when his daddy played the guitar for him. He was surrounded by and cared for by an amazing set of parents, grandparents, and medical staff in Grand Rapids, Michigan. All who gave him continuous, selfless love and care. JJ will be missed sorely by all the lives he has touched. He undoubtedly left this world too soon.

JJ is survived by his Mommy, Tonya Goudie; his Daddy, Kyle Smith; his Mamaw and Papaw, Candy and Jeff Short; his Grandma, Peggy Peavler; his Grammy and Poppy, William and Geraldine McKown; his great-grandparents, Patricia and Mike Temple, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended friends and family.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023, from 11AM-1PM at Flanner Buchanan—Washington Park East, 10722 East Washington St. Indianapolis, Indiana, 46229. A funeral will immediately follow the visitation at 1PM. JJ will be laid to rest in Washington Park East Cemetery.
