Jeannie Miller Fredrickson

d. November 10, 2022

Carmel, Indiana

Jeannie Miller Fredrickson, ageless, died on November 10, 2022.

After becoming a Christian in 1980, she became involved in Bible Study Fellowship, Creative Living Bible Study, Russ Blowers’ Mustard Seed Bible Study, Cheers Bible Class, & Ralph Walls’ Bible Study.  She loved each of them.

She was a 27-year member of E. 91st Street Christian Church and their Sanctuary Choir.  She then moved on to 6 years at Church at the Crossing and sang with their Morning Glory Choir.  She attended Legacy Bible Church since 2015 and continued her singing career with their wonderful choir.

She graduated from Warren Central High School, where she was a cheerleader, and she continued to be a “cheerleader” throughout her life.  She had taught aerobics through Indianapolis Fitness for 10 years, serving as their choreographer for a portion of those years.  This was one of the high points of her life.

She retired from Western Electric/AT&T/Lucent Technologies after 37 years.  While at WE she chaired an annual Women’s Party, and participated in many Variety shows, directing the last show in 1973.  Her biggest regret in life was not having children, so she collected wonderful friends, all of them “Laughers.”  She could make a friend on the spot, whether at work, or school, or church, in the neighborhood, or just shopping.  She loved Sharon, Dee, Jean, Kaye, Janie, Linda, Billie, Audrey, Maxine, Nancy, Star, Aileene, Patsy, and many others.  She loved small dogs, especially Shih Tzus named Murphy, and Long-Haired Chihuahuas named Casey.  And she was very thankful to have re-connected with her very dear friend from the ‘70s – Max Henschen – also a Laugher.

She is survived by her two of four sisters (both of them Laughers, too): Darleen Campbell, and Donna (Tom) Curran.  She was aunt to 12 nieces and nephews, and great-aunt to many.  She was preceded in death by her wonderful parents, Delbert and Wilma Miller, and her two younger sisters, Diane Austin and Myra Smith.
