Jeanne Broderick Vana

Jeanne Broderick Vana, 65 of Westfield, passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2023.  Jeanne was born September 4, 1957 in Middletown, NY.  She was a 1976 graduate of Carmel High School, where she was named Alumni of the Year and a 1980 graduate of Purdue University.

Jeanne began her career as a landscape designer before moving to Hawaii and going to work for Dole Pineapple, where she was their first female manager. She then started farming, mostly tomatoes, and selling at local farmer’s markets. She later provided High Tea service.

Jeanne was a member of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, the Waikiki Yacht Club, she was past president of the Waialua Farmer’s Co-Op and was a graduate of the Agriculture Leaders program, and later served as a representative of the organization.

Memorial services will be held at 12:00 pm Tuesday, August 8 at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, where family and friends are invited to gather from 10:00 am until the time of the service.

Our precious Jeanne is survived by her husband, Steven; mother, Joan J. Broderick; brothers, Daniel John, William James, Thomas Joseph and Michael Jerome Broderick; step-sons, Thomas “Toby” (spouse, Leo) Vana and Graham Vana; step-grandsons, Dylan and Ashton Vana; nieces and nephews, Lauren Belt, Daniel and Christiaan Broderick, Gabriel, Thaddeus, Samuel, Xavier and Aaron Broderick, Valerie and Anthony Broderick; great nieces and nephews,

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Jerome Broderick.
