Jeanie "Jean" L. Skipwith

Jeanie “Jean”  L. Skipwith, 88, passed away peacefully Sunday, June 17, 2018 in her home surrounded by her children. She was born on June 25, 1929 in East Finley Township, PA, daughter of the late Russell and Alberta (Irey) Pethtel.

Jean was a member of Garden Baptist Church, where she was a past Sunday School teacher. She was a member of West Alexander PA American Legion Auxiliary.

Jean loved to quilt, crochet, work in her flower beds, watch the Pacers and Colts, and take walks.

She married Paul Skipwith on June 24, 1989; he preceded her in death in 2008. As well as her sister, Clara Mae Miller.

Jean is survived by her children; Diana (Angelo-Butch) Quaresima, Patty Reading, and Russ Leech; two sisters, Ruth Myers and Mary Alice Amos; and two brothers, William (Nellene) Pethtel and Robert (Ruth Ann) Pethtel.

Visitation for Mrs. Skipwith will be from 5-8PM on Friday, June 22, 2018 at Flanner Buchanan-Speedway, 2950 N. High School Road, Indianapolis, IN 46224. Funeral Services will be held at 11AM Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Flanner Buchanan-Speedway, with visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow at West Ridge Park Cemetery.
