Jeanetta (Faye) C. Wilcher, 83, of Indianapolis, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2018. She was born on January 31, 1935 in Liberty, KY to the late Clarence and Bertie (Fredrick) Cox. Faye dedicated many years of service to Western Electric; and more recently worked in the cafeteria for Warren Township.
After retirement, Faye had many wonderful trips with her girlfriends and family. She and her friends drove on several trips thru the western and southern states. And, she joined Len and Linda on four trips to Hawaii.
Faye also enjoyed shopping with her girlfriends and niece; Debbie. Faye loved jewelry and was always searching for another piece to add to her collection.
Faye is survived by her son, Leonard Wilcher Jr, daughter-in-law Linda Wilcher, granddaughters Kimberly Schafer and Kristin Foster and great-grandchildren Megan Lowrey and Cody Foster.
Faye was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Bertie Cox and her husband, Leonard Wilcher Sr.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at Flanner Buchanan – Memorial Park from 5-7pm. Funeral services will take place Thursday afternoon at 12pm, with additional visitation 1 hour prior, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
