Jean H. Keedy

Jean H. Keedy, 77, of Carmel, IN passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at Copper Trace Senior Living Community with her family by her side.  She was born on May 30^th, 1945, to Robert and Jane Hubbard in Lansing, MI.

Jean was the youngest of two children and spent her childhood in Boswell, IN.  She attended Boswell High School, Class of 1963, where she developed lifelong friendships and an appreciation for learning.  After high school she enrolled in classes at Indiana State University and graduated with a degree in Business Education.  Later in life she completed a master’s degree in Education at Butler University. 

Jean was an avid golfer and tennis player.  She enjoyed reading and was active in numerous book clubs.  Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her friends and family, particularly around the holidays.  She held a special bond with both of her grandchildren and delighted in watching them participate in their activities.

Jean is survived by her husband of 53 years, James Keedy; sons Alan Keedy and David (Vicki) Keedy; brother Martin (Sarah) Hubbard; and two grandchildren Ethan Keedy and Jack Keedy.

A Celebration of Life visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 11^th, 2023, at Flanner Buchanan – Carmel, 325 East Carmel Drive.  A private service will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
