Jean E. Springer

88, of Hudson, Florida, passed away August 15, 2019.  She was born on August 2, 1931 in Indianapolis, Indiana as the daughter of Arthur and Charlotte Mendenhall.

Jean worked at Indiana Bell as a telephone operator and later worked with Manpower doing clerical work for local companies to help finance vacations and family life.

Jean loved camping with her family and friends, knitting and needle point, ceramics, pastels and painting.

Jean is survived by her children: Dennis Springer, Karen (Marc) Blaydoe, and Mark (Barbara) Springer, three grandchildren (Shaun, Dawn & Thomas) and 5 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vern Springer; her sister Lois Berghoff; and her half-brother Alvin Wormus.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2019, from 6-8pm at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN 46229.  A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2019, at 2pm, also at the funeral home with interment at Washington Park East Cemetery.
