Jay D. Marks, 78, of Indianapolis, passed away on November 17, 2018.

Jay was born on July 16, 1940 in Peru, Indiana to the late Abraham and Geraldine Marks. He grew up in the Logansport area, graduated from Purdue University where he received his bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, and played for the Purdue football team. He honorably served his country in the United States Air Force, was a member of the Logansport Masonic Lodge, and was a manager for INDOT for many years. He was an avid collector of Steiff Bears, loved cheering on his Boilermakers, traveling and taking cruises with his wife, and spending time with his children and new granddaughter.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 36 years, Betty “Janie” Marks; children, Wendy (Rick) Mouser and Todd Marks; and granddaughter, Kennedy Mouser. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends and family are invited to gather from 1:00-3:00pm on Tuesday, November 20, 218 with a celebration of life to follow at 3:00pm at Flanner Buchanan- Washington Park East.
