Janice Lynn Stilts

Janice Lynn Stilts (George) was born Wednesday August 6th, 1952. She passed from this world unexpectedly on Thursday April 4th, 2019. She was born the last of 6 children to James O. George and Effie E. George (Wright) in Portland, Tennessee.  Lynn, as she was known to many on her maternal side, was raised and lived her entire adult life in Indianapolis. In May 1970 she married the love of her young life, Dallas R. Stilts.  This love lasted past his death in 2011. This love produced 4 children and 11 grandchildren who will miss her terribly. Left to cherish her life and memories are her children Donnie (Christina) Stilts, Deanna (Jeffrey) Cook, Michael (Michelle) Stilts, and Jennifer Stilts.  Also left behind are grandchildren Cody (Pauline), Corban, Emmalee, Addyson, Conar, Christian, Braden, Lilah, Landon, Sebastian, & Delaney. She is also survived by her sister Kathleen Bunch and brothers Sammy George & Jerry George as well as a large extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Dallas Stilts, her parents, and brothers Cordell George & Billy George. Friends and family are invited to celebrate her life with visitation on Friday April 12th from 4-8 pm at Flanner Buchanan- Memorial Park located at 9350 E. Washington Street. Funeral services will be on Saturday, April 13th at Noon with calling one hour prior. Final resting place with be with her family at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis. In lieu of flowers, the family requests considering a donation in Janice’s memory to the St Francis Hospice Care organization, which was near and dear to her heart.
