On December 27, 2020, Janet S. Malanoski passed away at home surrounded by loved ones. Janet was 65 years old and had courageously battled complications from liver disease for 2 years. Janet was born October 9, 1955 in Salem, OH to Omar A. Leggett and Beulah G. (Spencer) Miller.
Janet was married to Richard S. Malanoski on July 4, 1973. She devoted her life to raising her 6 children and caring for their home. She was known as a very caring person, always accepting of others, and for having a fierce attitude. She was an avid pet lover and always enjoyed crafting. She seized every opportunity to be the best wife, mother, grandmother, or friend, that she could be.
Janet is survived by her husband of 47 years, 5 sons, Gregory J. Malanoski, Chad A. Malanoski (Shannon R. Rattan), Ryan K. Malanoski, Eric S. Malanoski, Nathaniel R. Malanoski, daughter Chelsea B. Lucas (Mark L. Lucas), 11 grandchildren, Gregory G. Malanoski, Mark B. Malanoski, Sarah P. Malanoski, Asa E. Malanoski, Uriah K. Malanoski, Haley M. Lucas, Delani F. Lucas, Laila J. Lucas, Adalyn G. Lucas, Wyatt L. D. Lucas, Jameson R. Lucas, 2 sisters, Beverly J. Moore, and Barbara J. Mueller. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, Judy A. Reconnu and Joyce E. Givens, and great-grandson Grayson K. Malanoski.
Visitation will be Wednesday, December 30, 2020 from 4 to 7 pm at Flanner Buchanan-Floral Park. Funeral service will be Thursday, December 31, 2020 at 11 am at Flanner Buchanan-Floral Park. Rev. Vincent Stallsworth will be officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Park Cemetery.
