Janet Lou Meyer, 96, of Carmel, Indiana passed away December 24, 2024. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana to Benjamin L. White and Lenore (Matthews) White. The most important thing to Janet was her family. She adored her husband Robert, her four children: Robert Jr., Barbara, Jay, and Brian. She was an adventurous woman and always up for a challenge, as well as always extending a helping hand to anyone that needed it. Janet was referred to as “Mom” by many. She was a boater, golfer, gardener, and was a very integral part of the Arsenal Technical High School Museum, there she volunteered. She was the queen of Wolf Lake in Baldwin, Michigan during summer vacations, where many memories were made through the years with family and friends.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Lenore White, husband of 53 years, Robert E. Mayer, and brother, James L. White.
Survivors include her children: Robert E. Meyer, Jr. (Susie Tooley), Barbara S. Baun (Mike), Jay A. Meyer, and Brian B. Meyer (Lisa Whitlow); her grandchildren: Jeff Ham, Amy Trowman (Josh), Julie Elliott (Justin), Samantha Bellucci (Arsenios Paschopolous), Nicci Meyer (Wayde Boyette), Brett Meyer, Bobby Meyer (Jenny), Benjamin Meyer, Matt Meyer (Katie), Mike Meyer (Courtney), and Scott Baun (Shannon); and her 18 great-grandchildren: Isabella, Sophia (Samantha Bellucci), Michael, Madison, Olivia (Scott/Shannon Baun), Chloe, Piper, Isla (Josh/Amy Trowman), Gavin, Ava, Hudson (Matt/Katie Meyer), Reece, Stella, Jude, Dax (Mike/Courtney Meyer), Kaleb, Emily (Jeff Ham), and Miles (Justin/Julie Elliott).

Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Flanner Buchanan – Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Good Shepherd Chapel), 9700 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN. Funeral service will begin there at 1:00 p.m.
