Janet M. Wilson

Janet M. Wilson, 87, of Fishers, passed away January 22, 2025. She was born February 12, 1937, in Greenfield, the daughter of the late Louis Gerald and Gladys Marie (Bainter) Swarts. She married her high school sweetheart, Kenneth Wilson, on August 19, 1956.

Janet served many years as an executive assistant for Kiwanis International. She and Ken loved to travel the United States with their camper, sightseeing, and creating wonderful memories. She was a 40 year member of Carmel United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing bocce ball, completing crossword puzzles, and cooking, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Janet was a devoted wife, mom, and grandma who will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Kenneth Wilson; two sons, Mark (Linda) Wilson and Craig (Cindy) Wilson; two granddaughters, Andrea and Sarah; and a sister-in-law, Donna Loveless. She was preceded in passing by a sister, Jean Swarts.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 7, 2025, at Flanner Buchanan – Hamilton Memorial Park (Prairie Waters), 4180 Westfield Road. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Carmel United Methodist Church Music Ministry or to Kiwanis International.
