Janet Louise Asher

Janet Louise Asher, 88, of Carmel, passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2023.  Janet was born March 10, 1935, in Hamilton, Ohio and was preceded in death by her husband, Roland Asher Jr.   The Asher’s resided in Fairfield and Springfield Ohio until his passing in 1997. Shortly thereafter, Jan moved to Carmel Indiana to be closer to her youngest daughter. 

Jan attended St Joseph’s Elementary School and graduated in 1953 from Notre Dame High School in Hamilton, Ohio. Jan was employed at General Electric in Ohio for 35 years.  Jan was an avid golfer, an exquisite decorator, and later in life tapped into her passion for watercolor painting which gave her much joy.  She especially loved spending time with all of her grandchildren and considered family her greatest gift. 

 Jan is survived by her children, Amee (husband, Randy) Cherubini, Candy (husband, Patrick) Rosenbauer, Jack (wife, Faye) Parker; grandchildren, Jack and Julia Cherubini, Curtis, William, Jake and Olivia Rosenbauer, Kyle Asher, Elea Kunze, Elizabeth Mueller, Nicholas Parker, Michael Taylor and Richard Taylor; great grandchildren, Camden Rosenbauer, Nia and Lily Kunze, Finn, Quincey and Matilda Asher, and Dimitri Mueller.

A memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 am Friday, June 16 at Flanner Buchanan-Carmel, where family and friends are invited to gather from 10:00 am until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105. This charity was dear to her heart.
